VPH® GDS Drills (1900)

Powdered Metal Drills Designed for Difficult to Machine Materials

Overview

The VPH V-Series drill line is the ideal drilling solution when dealing with exotic materials like Inconel, and when through-tool coolant is not available. OSG's proprietary XPM powdered metal substrate combined with our very own V-coating produces the hardest and most wear resistant drill possible when compared to all other HSS drills.

Features

Radial Point Thinning

No center drills neeeded. Achieves high accuracy while reducing drill thrust force for longer tool life.

OSG V-Coating

OSG's very own recipe which features a combination of Titanium Nitride and layered Titanium Carbon Nitride.

XPM Powdered Metal Substrate

Harder than T15 CPM, this substrate yields maximum hardness for maximum wear resistance.

Applications

Cast Iron, Carbon Steel, Alloy Steel, Die Steel, Nickel Alloys, Hardened Steel <50HrC

Ideally suited for Ni-Alloys such as Inconel 718, Inconel 625, Hastelloy, Waspaloy, Rene

If coolant-through the tools is not an option, this drill is the ideal solution for drilling applications in difficult-to-machine materials.
