HY-PRO® CARB Drills (HP255)

Performance Carbide Coolant Drills for a Variety of Materials & Applications

Overview

The HY-PRO® CARB carbide drill series is an ideal blend of performance and cost-efficiency. Strong radial rake combined with precision point geometry and EgiAs coating makes this drill extremely versatile in application. Be it solid or coolant-through, these drills yield incredible performance at depths from 3X to 8X Diameter.

Features

Negative Radial Rake

Stronger cutting edge to resist chipping

Refined honing on cutting edge

Provides more consistent performance from the first hole to the last hole

EgiAs Coating

Higher coating oxidation temp & hardness dramatically improve wear resistance

DIN Shanks (6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20mm)

Larger shank provides more rigidity and minimizes the number of holders/collets needed to accommodate all sizes

Internal coolant holes

Coolant delivery at the cutting edge reduces heat and improves chip evacuation, thereby increasing tool life and enabling faster drilling speeds
